Workin’ hard

My husband snuck (sneaked?) this shot of me prepping for my card club a couple weeks ago.

It made me laugh when I saw it, seeing what I actually look like in work-mode. :) I like the sprawl-on-the-floor method after the kids are in bed.  (Note the sippy cup in the background.)  It gets me away from the desk and I get to hang out with the hubby.

I have a fun job, huh? :)

July card club

I just started my 1st card club, and I’m pretty sure I lucked out with this group of girls.  They are so fun!  I’m really excited.

We made 2 cards and 1 box (technically, 2 boxes :) ) at our 1st party.  I’ve already posted one card here, but here it is again.

I mentioned before that I got that card idea from our Stampin’ Up demonstrator monthly magazine, Stampin’ Success.  I get a lot of ideas from there. :)

I have seen these boxes around in a lot of places, but Dawn has a great tutorial video here.

And this last one is case’d almost identically from Andrea.  Her card was so darn cute I couldn’t change it and had to use it!! :)

Not many of my own original ideas this month, huh? :)   LOL.  Well, that’s why I love the stamping community.

Deal of the Week & circles :)

Deal of the Week #4 is now available, and I’m thinking I may have to get this one for myself!

(click on the above image to see more details.)vanilla-hodgepodge2This week only the styled vanilla hodgepodge hardware is $18.99. (Over 30% off, usually $29.95!)

And because it’s summer, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one spending more time playing outside with the kids. :)   My craft room isn’t out there, but I do sneak down into the nice air conditioning once in a while.  Here is another card from one of those times. :)

Other demonstrators will probably recognize this!  I copied it almost exactly out of our montly magazine.  I love the ideas that I get from the demonstrator publications!  Really, when I’m not feeling creative at all, there are plenty of places to peek for inspiration. :)

Birthday Bliss

This is proof that I am still here, and I do still make cards! :)   Wow, busy busy, but I do still escape for some play time here and there.

I used a cutie patootie new birthday set for this card, Birthday Bliss.  And when I finished, I realized no stamp pads … just Versamark and markers on this one.  I’ll put the details below. :)

It’s almost 1 AM, off to bed!  Just finishing up some whole wheat cinnamon rolls.  Um, yummy? :)   Breakfast tomorrow morning will be oh so sweet, even when the baby wakes up too early.  Bye for now!

New Catalog Open House

I love this new catalog, and the new vinyl/stencil stuff?  Yay!

I’ll be hosting an open house — actually, 2 open houses — to celebrate!  I want everyone to get a chance to see the catalog in person (though all products can be seen online here, also) while munching goodies, visiting with friends, creating a free make-and-take, and more.

The 2 dates are:

Thursday, July 16th, 6-8:00 PM

Saturday, July 18th, 10 AM – 1:00 PM

Come either day (or both if you’d like :) ), stay as long as you want, spread the word and bring your friends!  There is no cost, just fun. :)

If you need my address, please contact me. :)
