10 cards for $12? Including envelopes? You’ve got to admit, a deal is a deal!
(click the image to view larger)
We are using the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin’ kit. These kits are awesome. Each person in the class will get 1/2 of a kit. (If you’d like to make more, it’s just $12 for every 10 cards.) These cards will come together very quickly and we’ll have a lot of fun with them.
To register, email me ASAP since space is very limited on this one.
This is a 70% non-Stampin’ Up post, but thought I’d still share.
We are getting family pictures taken tomorrow morning. Scrambling last-minute as usual, today I went out and found outfits for all of us, but didn’t realize until tonight that (a) the baby didn’t have brown shoes that I thought she did, and (b) oops, I have girls! What should I put in their hair?!? As a mom of 2 little girls, you would be surprised at the lack of hair bows and ribbons and flowers in this house. I know, I know, I plan to remedy this … but not tonight!
So what’s a girl to do? Run out late at night to scramble and buy some frumpy cheap doo-dads? Nah, we borrow. Thank goodness for an angel neighbor that lent me both shoes AND bows! Bless her heart!
Wow, babbling. The whole point of this post is to show you the bows I made for the baby. Large bows would look just plain silly on her bitty head, so thanks to my friend for the inspiration, I rummaged in my ribbon stash and threw together these little bitties.
But hey, now the baby has bows to match. (Unless they fall apart by morning, of course.) I’ll post pictures later if she ends up wearing them.
Oh, and hey, there is some Stampin’ Up ribbon in there, too! More than I realized now that I’m looking, actually. The wide grosrain is chocolate chip, and the pretty in pink and whisper white thin grosgrain. Whoo!
UPDATE: Just a little teaser shot of our family pics, but yay, she wore them! They looked so cute in her blonde curls.
Look at this darling card that Maxine gave me!
I love it. She makes beautiful cards and projects — check out her blog here.
‘Tis the season, right? If you need a guide for ideas for gifts, take a look at Stampin’ Up’s Gift Giving Guide!
Click the above image to view a beautiful PDF to print, or click here to view the online guide. (They are both great resources and set up differently, so it’s worth taking a quick peek at both.)
PLUS, let’s not forget the best part — FREE STUFF! For each $50 you spend on anything in the Gift Giving Guide, and you will get a free piece of Decor Elements! (vinyl, priced up to $16.95) Click here to view our vinyl catalog.
And go ahead, add some of these goodies to your OWN wish list!
I keep forgetting to share this scrapbook page, and I was just reminded when I saw it on someone else’s blog.
Now I want to be clear, this isn’t a page that I made or designed … but I am in the photographs, and so are my daughters!! (Well, both of them are there, but only one is visible. The other one was still a little bun in my giant oven.)
Go ahead and click on the image or here to see the details of this scrapbook page, materials used, etc.
It’s a card club day! Yay, so fun. This is what we’re making tonight. It’s a little taste of the season and 2 holidays.
This one is very similar to a cute card we made at a Convention get-together.
I used the ornament punch, but if you want a bit more of a border around the ornament, this also works great with the Sizzix Movers & Shapers die. I debated about which method to use here, since they’re both awesome. (Plus, the die does the cutting and scoring for you – bonus!)
Hee hee, how cute is little Mr. Turkey? I completely copied these from cute Heather’s blog (here).
I’m just realizing, as I look at this picture, that my turkey’s head is pretty huge. Maybe we’ll use a smaller circle punch at club tonight.
And the last one –
another Christmas card. I tinkered with the crystal effects once it was done, and I’m thinking I should have left it be. I love that stuff, but it made the red a bit orange on this card. But still, a fun little card.
Gotta run, chase the kiddies, finish getting ready for club, and get the apples out of my hair. (Yes, really — the baby threw apples in my hair while I was cleaning under her high chair. Li’l stinker. )
Paper – chocolate chip, dusty durango, crushed curry, more mustard, kraft, very vanilla, real red, retired dsp (oops!, but cute equivalent here or here), old olive
Supplies – stamping sponges, non-SU googlie eyes, non-SU candy, large star punch, modern label punch, sweet treat cups, glue dots, 1 3/4″ circle punch, Big Shot, Scallop Circle die, Scallop Circle #2 die, circle cutter & glass mat, dotto adhesive, snail, paper snips, silver elastic cord, ornament punch, snowflakes #2 sizzlits die (also cute with snowflake punch), small clear rhinestone brad, 1/16″ punch, dazzling diamonds, stamp-a-ma-jig, powder pals, tombow adhesive, crystal effects, scallop edge punch, eyelet border punch, white embossing powder, heat tool
Have you started your Christmas wish list yet? Can you believe it’s that time already? Do you get so caught up shopping for others during the holidays that you forget to make your own list? (I do this, and it makes my husband crazy when he has no idea what to buy for me.)
Click here for a fun wish list for you to print off, fill out with your desired goodies, and then give a copy to the gift-buyers in your life! Your husband, mom, best friend, sister … anybody likely to buy you a gift!
So take a few minutes, grab a yummy drink, climb in your Snuggie (hee hee) and get cozy with a Stampin’ Up catalog* — then decide what you would like for yourself this year! And don’t forget about our Holiday Mini catalog and Definitely Decorative line, too! (vinyl and stencils.)
*Don’t have a catalog? Contact me to borrow one (or buy for $5), or check it out online. You can view any whole catalog as PDF here, or any of our products in the online store here. (click the “shop now” button in the top right.)
