This is the other version (the non-digital) of the baby shower card that I made this weekend.
I liked the simplicity of this one. You can’t see it very well, but the blue is textured with a polka dot plate. Babies and polka dots just go together, don’t they?

Stamps: Everything Baby (retired)
Ink: bashful blue, chocolate chip
Paper: bashful blue, kraft, whisper white
Supplies: bashful blue taffeta ribbon, Big Shot machine, scallop square die, polka dot texture plate, dimensionals
I had a friend/cousin ask me to make some baby boy thank-you cards using a sailboat (with blue, brown, white and red) and ducks. Well, that’s not exactly how the conversation went , but that’s the gist.
Yay! A challenge with something specific! This was fun for me. Here is what I came up with, based on a layout that I had seen several places.

Paper – bermuda bay textured, Thoroughly Modern dsp, whisper white
Ink – bermuda bay, crushed curry (stamped off once)
Supplies – basic black marker, real red marker, vintage brads, soft suede polka-dot ribbon, dimensionals

(Though my daughter insisted it is a swing, not a bib, so if you couldn’t tell either I won’t hold it against you. )
There are some fun techniques on that card. This is my 1st time dying the flowers from the Pretties Kit. So easy! There are many methods, but I used an aqua painter and reinker. Also, the swirlies in the background are heat embossed. Love the embossing.
And why not a little Halloween 3×3?

I tried to veer away from the obvious “baby girl card” with these colors …
… but I failed. Baby girl card it is! I couldn’t resist the cuteness factor!!
You can’t see it very well here, but the pink butterfly is made from the polka-dotted paper in the Sweet Always designer series paper.
