My April card clubs are already over, but I haven’t posted the projects yet. Here we go!
This adorable bunny box is 100%, completely copied from Marie’s creation. It was darling — I couldn’t stand it. Must … make … own … bunny!
(She shares complete directions if you’d like to make your own.)
Besides, have I mentioned I’m a punch-a-holic? Punch art is right up my alley. I must have a style similar to Marie, because I find myself gravitating to her blog often to ooh and aah. Luckily for the un-creative like myself there are the creative among us, willing to share ideas.
(And yes, I realize that Easter is over, but spring isn’t! Bunnies are springy!)
For this one we used the Just Buzzin’ By stamp set and did some watercoloring with the watercolor crayons and blender pens. (See the video on my last post.)
It was fun to pull out my color spritzer tool, also — haven’t used that one in a while! (Can you see the speckles in the background?) Oh, and you really can’t have honey without crystal effects, can you?
I wish I could say that I came up with this idea for our last card. I have no idea who really did come up with it 1st … I just know that these are very popular to make right now.
See, those tulips are the brilliant part — they are made of the bird’s wing from the bird punch! And the vase is actually just the ornament punch with the bottom trimmed off. Brilliant, right?
Add a little sponging for dimension, and voila … a cutie patootie tulip card.
Thanks for peeking in!
Laura
