I read Sarah’s My Digital Studio blog post about creating a morning routine for her girls … and I was inspired.
Her idea is darling and funtional, but while we already have a chore chart and I didn’t want to overwhelm,I went with the uber-simple route.
I needed something quick … like, now … and I didn’t want to make this a big project. Something quick and easy that I could do while the kids eat breakfast.
I pulled open My Digital Studio and found one of the pre-designed templates. I shrunk down the image, added my own text, and TA DA! Morning routine, simplified.
A tip: Even though this is a template for a greeting card, I was able to save it as a PDF and print it as a full page just fine.
If you *don’t* have a copy of My Digital Studio (MDS), I highly suggest downloading the free trial to see what you can create with it!!
Wish us luck with our mornings this week!
Happy January! I want to quickly show ya what we made in our card club this week.
(Speedy-version blogging — the 2 year old is almost done with lunch!:) )
The new small pack of paper in the occasions catalog is darling. You can’t go wrong with these colors/prints. It’s called Fresh Prints dsp (designer series paper). (click any links to check details out in my online store.)
That stamp set is a newbie … a cute newbie. The stamps and framelits can be purchased in a bundle to save some $, too — check it out here!
Have you ever tried a telescoping card? I know most people in my club hadn’t, so we just had to play with these! I haven’t made a tutorial of my own (yet?), but they are everywhere! Seriously so easy and quick. Just find a combination of coordinating shapes (in a variety of sizes) to piece together, and you are set. I decided to use the floral frames framelits here and the 1-3/4″ circle punch. That’s it!
I loved a simple layout used by Julie Davison, so I changed it up a bit for our last card. Simple is always a favorite!! We used the You’re Amazing stamp set and, again, my new favorite paper – Fresh Prints dsp.
Oh, and the banner pieces and coordinating punch? Those are a teaser from SALE-A-BRATION!! Our biggest sale of the year starts Jan 28th! Both of these items (the banner stamp set of 10 and the punch) are just 2 of the items you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration. !!!
Thanks for popping in! I have a messy 2-year-old face to go clean! Go check out the rest of the BRAND new occasions catalog — HERE!
Office supplies — I may be a bit obsessed with them. I’m that girl that has to look the other way when the oh-so-cute calendars are on display at Target. I want to buy them! I have no need for them, but I want to buy them! Must … plan … things!
So, of course, these make me a little giddy.
Patty Bennett offers an awesome how-to video — click here to find that.
Then, of course, decorate as you please! I left this one simple for a card club, but you can get as carried away as you please. The Witches Brew designer paper speaks for itself on this one anyway, don’t you think? (click here to see the entire paper pack)
Enjoy the itty bitties! Don’t forget to grab your own envelope punch board (shop online here!) if you don’t have it yet!! This is just one of the many fun ideas with it. Just today I made a few quick envelopes to mail out party invitations. I was thrilled to have it as my fingertips! So fast and easy.
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m a huge fan of having a bunch of homemade tags all pre-made and waiting in their cuteness for the perfect occasion.
It’s like having a stash of cards ready at your fingertips — homemade, simple and cute!
This must be why the tag a bag kit spoke to me. The pieces are pre-cut and ready, but with the freedom to embellish as much or as little as I want. I love this option.
I only had a few minutes of nap time left today when I pulled out some crafty goodies, but in those few minutes I was able to whip up 3 little tags.
A few different occasions, all set and in my new stash. Of course I was excited to have a place to PUT this stash!
The wood-mount clear boxes are my FAVORITE storage goody! I used the half size for this.
I’ll be adding more tags from this kit soon! It comes with oodles of goodies. An awesome gift idea, also. (pre-made or just as the kid comes.)
Thanks for peeking in!
P.S. Other supplies I used for these tags were things I had nearby — including Hexagon punch, bitty butterfly punch, rhinestones, six-sided sampler stamps, another thank you stamps. Click any of the links to check them out in my store.
Very quick post tonight — the nice weather is calling to us!
I just wanted to share a quick Halloween card using the Witches Brew designer series paper and washi tape! How cute are these products!
You can view any of these products in my online store HERE.
Thanks for peeking in!
Alright, it’s not *quite* sweater weather, but there was a little chill in the air this morning when I dropped my girl off at school. Dun dun ddunnnnnn, it won’t be too long! (I’m not in a big hurry — yay summer!)
I *did* use some cute designer paper today, though, called Sweater Weather.
Cutie cute! Fall colors are so fun to play with!
CASE = copy and share everything. It’s a staple of my papercrafting life.
I was not blessed with a creative brain, so I am always grateful for the overabundance of ideas out there!
I was flipping through our annual catalog today and stopped on page 106. (If you don’t yet have a catalog to flip through, let me know!)
That notebook looked fun and quick! I made some small changes of my own and made this card.
If you’re in a rut, you can always turn to the good ol’ catalog!
And *REMEMBER* — the Holiday catalog is now live (as of August 1st)!! Check it all out online HERE, and let me know if you want a paper copy! I’d love to get you one.
