Ohhhh, *happy sigh*, Stampin’ Up convention is such an amazing experience. This was only my 2nd convention (since I have been a demo for about a year and 1/2), but so far I am 2-for-2 for a great and unbelievably awesome time.

So, you ask, what makes this “convention” so fabulous?
The creative energy bursting at the seams. The “family” that is Stampin’ Up. The staff that work so hard and so overtime to make each experience perfect. (Trust me on this one.) The inspiring classes. The free stuff! Shopping in Momento Mall (demo only goodies). The generously shared ideas for my poor uncreative self. The make & takes. The new friends. The laughter and tears. The roommates! The cheering for one another. The “me” time. The “convention attendees only” specials and promos. Being a part of a company that centers on making a difference. The “I never would have thought of that!” moments. The energizing spirit of building my business, making new friends, and bettering myself.
Should I go on?
I could! It’s 4 full days of yumminess. And exhaustion. But mostly yumminess.
Okay, pictures!
A li’l shopping at Momento Mall!

This was the line to get in to shop. I was happy to already be done.

Can you see the cute orange polka-dotted bags? That is the convention bag this year (filled with some stamps) that I have yet to take a picture of.
Wednesday night there was a flower power party. The corporate team wasn’t shy about gettin’ groovy.

Aw, Carrie, I love you too.
hee hee.

I was excited to have my hubby join me at Awards Night.
(Not that I won any awards this year, but STILL.)

I kinda like him.
These were my roomies. Okay, if you know I’m from Salt Lake, you may be wondering why in the world I had roommates. Last year I did the commuting thing, demo by day, mommy by night. It was exhausting, and I felt detached from a lot of the demo happenings and convention experience. So this year? I decided, last minute, that I wanted to stay downtown for 2 of the nights. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Next year it may be 3 nights!
How did I end up with the best roommates?!?
Natasha, Kari, and Jenn — thank you again! We laughed and laughed and talked and laughed. I felt immediately welcomed and comfortable with these incredibly talented girls. I was proud to be adopted Canadian for the week.

Oh dear, that’s not a very good picture with my li’l point-and-shoot.
*Side Note* I am having trouble typing because of the bandaid on my pointer finger. I cut myself earlier today with my Stampin’ Up craft & rubber scissors.
At least we know those are sharp! hee hee. Moving on …
I have so many photos of samples. So, so, so many samples and ideas to draw from! Here are just a few of the great things on display.

Note the vinyl. How cute is that chalkboard vinyl with the lists for each child?

These stencils are also from our Definitely Decorative line. These were decorated throughout the course of the week.
Aw, Max!

To know Max is to love Max. She is my upline, and she’s fantastic.
If you are hungry and trying to avoid sweets, stop reading now.

I warned ya.

How cute are they?!? This whole area was full of “sweets” and color inspiration.

I am loving that little glitter cup and spoon.

My pictures don’t do this set-up justice at all. Cute Becky has some great pictures — check those out here.
I could go on for a while.
I have a pile of swaps to go through still (yay!) and a whole bunch of motivation, goals, and ideas to put into effect!
I love this company, and I love what I do!
